Defiance is often perceived to be negative, unnecessary, and destructive, while in reality can be a vital part of life. There are numerous aspects to defiance, many of which are positive and necessary to ensure survival. However, it is necessary to have the essence of hope in order for defiance to reveal its true success. Many books and movies portray defiance and the element of hope, along with the success the combination can bring. The Grapes of Wrath, written by John Steinbeck, illustrates the essential need for hope with the element of defiance. Hope is what creates the positive aspect of defiance; without it, ultimate defiance and sacrifice leads only to insanity.The Grapes of Wrath tells the story of the Joad Family's journey from Oklahoma to California.Ma and Tom Joad. Note Tom's scar on his left cheek...T he Joads, as well as Casy, the preacher who accompanies them, are the true example that hope, faith, and sacrifice leads to pure and positive defiance. Each member of the family was defiant in some aspect throughout the novel, and the defiance always combines the necessary element of hope. Casy was clearly the most obvious defiant character. He had been a preacher, but left the church and its ideals. He began founding his own beliefs, regardless of the opinions of society. Even though Casy lost faith in the traditional religious beliefs, he did not lose faith in himself. Casy was rebellious and defiant against set beliefs and being thrust into a position by society. When the Joads finally arrived in California, Casy did not accept the ridiculous wagers the workers were getting. Soon, instead of just joining strikes, Casy became a leader.

For example: With a young and skilled workforce – 65% of Turkey’s 74 million populace is under the age of 34 – producing 500,000 graduates a year, Turkey is now classified as a fast developing economy. Meanwhile, 3.7 percent of the 2012 populace – or roughly 23,436 people – held doctorates. Both words, population and populace, derive ultimately from a Latin word for people, but the words entered English with distinctive meanings. From the beginning, population referred to the collective inhabitants of a place, whereas populace had the meaning â€Å"ordinary people† as opposed to the titled, wealthy, or privileged classes. In Frances Hodgson Burnett’s The Little Princess (1905), the protagonist has been taught by her middleclass father to be kind to â€Å"the populace.† Thrust suddenly from a comfortable life into poverty, Sara learns what it is to be hungry. Eric Eazy-E Wright A Life Interrupted by Taylor Evans Born September 7, 1963, Eric "Eazy-E" Wright's early reputation on the streets of Compton, California, was a hustler eager to apply his street knowledge to his legitimate game. He dropped out of high school in the tenth grade, but refused that to interrupt his success. In the late `80's he turned to rap music. Along with Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, DJ Yella, and M.C. Ren established the most successful and controversial rap group in history. As N.W.A, they blasted police cruelty and challenged the establishment. They eventually took their message of inner-city struggle to millions of fans worldwide. As a soloist, Eazy's career was even more incredible. He launched Compton/Ruthless Records in 1987 and by 1988 had two hit acts-JJ. Fad and Michel'le. During the summer of the same year, N.W.A's Straight Outta Compton LP frightened the media into labeling the group "gangsters". This was a label the group wore and exploited with such force that by the time Eazy released his solo project Eazy-Duz-It that fall, the stage of musical funk and lyrical fight had long been set. "Boyz-N-The-Hood" , "We Want Eazy", "Eazy-Duz-It". His voice fueled a legion of hits. In the early `90's, he joined other West Coast rappers, including M.C. Hammer, Ice T, Tone-Loc, and Young MC, in a stop the violence campaign led by the single "We're All In The Same Gang". With N.W.A, Eazy broke down all the doors of mass exposure previously closed to rap music. Attempts to rock the young musician's foundation were generally useless. Arrests for performing N.W.A's biggest hit "F*** The Police", and other attempts at censorship only helped pave the way for his success. By the time the group had released its last album, Efil4zaggin, in 1991, they had sold more than six million records. This only means that the rate of increase in the prices of housing units starts to slow down but still remains high considering the disposable income every household currently have. Furthermore, employment rate plunges down along side with the housing market as August 2007 recorded the highest lay-off on the history of housing market equivalent to 21,000 as compared to only 1,000 lay-offs happened last August 2006. With this large number of workers laid-off from their jobs, plus the increasing number of bankrupt housing companies, employment rate started to decline. Though the GDP of United States remains high despite of the turmoil in the housing market, but its GDP growth rate significantly decline from 2006 to 2007 from 2.6 percent to 1.5 percent respectively. This only means that housing market still imposes barrier towards the economic growth of United States. Housing starts was down by 28.4 percent from 2006 to 2007 as consumers cuts their demand on housing units due to limited budget and high cost. In order to prevent the said depression of the housing market, federal government continued slashing down their interest rate to guide housing companies to recover financially since housing sales has been declining since 2006. Last January 2008, the Federal Reserve cut the interest rate to 3.5 percent in order to stabilize the economy and prevent the impeding economic recession (Presse, 2008). Furthermore, it was also identified that new home sales declined by around 46 and 30 percent on 2006 and 2007 respectively. The said record was the lowest annual home sales since 1995. The above identified economic factors help most of the economists and market analysts in determining the future performance of the housing market as well as of other industries in the economy. In this regard, the aim of this paper is to identify various macroeconomic factors that affect the performance of the housing market and how it affects the behavior of the entire housing market. Furthermore, discussions on the future condition of housing market will be presented in order to easily understand how economists and market analysts projects the performance of housing market. Expect also at the end of this paper alternatives that would address macroeconomic factors that negatively affects the stability of the housing market and its evaluation that will serve as the guide in choosing the appropriate solution for the instability of the housing market.
